IODE to help at biood
donor's clinic on April 28
Newly -elected Regent Jean
Adams chaired the recent April
meeting of Clinton Sarah Hale
chapter, IODE. The meeting
opened with the Prayer of the
Order followed by secretary
Lina Cochrane's minutes of the
previous meeting, treasurer
Helen Bartliff's report and roll
call.
Among the new items of
business handled, was a
request for help at the blood
donor's clinic to be :held on
Monday, April 28. Several
members volunteered to assist.
Another request came through
Lina Cochrane for drivers for
the project "Meals on Wheels"
being • organized locally and
several ladies agreed to act as
drivers.
In the absence -of citizenship
chairman Terry Adshead,
Dorelene Flowers reported that
a citizenship court will be held
April. 15 with 21 area people
being sworn in as new
Canadian citizens.
Services chairman Florence
Corrie requested contributions
of articles for a box to be sent in
May to the chapter's adopted
far northern community of
Qgoki. She also had on display
several articles of knitting
completed by members.Marg.

Tuesday evening, April 8 at the
home of Mrs. Robert Morgan.
Following the singing of a
hymn, evening devotions were
taken by Mrs. Margaret
Farquhar and Mrs. Steward
Cowan. Mrs. Robert Homuth
presented the topic for the
evening --- "The Establishing of
the Presbyterian Church in
Canada in the Peace River
District".
