These educational programs are `eondtycted to errble physicians to keep' abreast of the latest develppments in different specialty areas. Nurses and other medical personnel are urged to attend. These presentations are not suitable for the lay public. However, patients are requested to call their doctor for emergencies only on the Clinic Day in their area. According to a recently published Gallop Poll, 77 percent of Canadian approve "the growing tendency of governments to protect people from themselves through such things as the use of seat belts, compulsory warning signals on cars, life jackets and other things of that nature." Of those polled in Ontario, 72 percent voiced approval. Government claims to the contrary, the Ontario Safety, League is encouraged by the poll and concludes that Queen's Park decisions on such matters as safety belt usage must have been governed by a loud vocal minotiry.
