As promised, I have another
picture of a section of your
Band. This time I am in-
troducing you to the brass
section, which is the section
providing the "oomph" to the
music.
"Heavy Brass", the name by
which these instruments are
sometimes known, forms the
foundation or support upon
which a good brass and reed
band is formed. If this section is
weak then the fullness, in terms
of overall sound is lacking.
Look carefully and long at the
picture of the young people who

the band also, not only in terms
of monetary support when the
occasion arises, but in terms of
moral support at their each and
every performance.
This picture is of five young
people who, if given the en-
couragement they deserve and
combined with the other 31
members of your band will, in
the next 12 months be the most
'sought after band in Western
Ontario.

The Afternoon Unit of
Wesley -Willis United Church
met in the church hall on March
20th with an attendance of 19.
Mrs. Stewart, the president,
welcomed all, and opened the
meeting with a poem entitled
"Spring". A hymn was sung.
She read an item on hardships
of normal life" followed by
prayer.
The roll call was answered
with `Some' place you would
like to visit". The treasurer's
report was given and offering
received. Twenty-seven home
and 24 hospital calls were made
on sick and shut-ins.
Mrs. Fingland explained
about the "Live Love Project"
of the UCW. St. Christopher
House in Toronto; and the
different phases of the work

announced that Wesley -Willis
Ont. St. Thankoffering was to
be April 6th at 7:30 p.m.
Mrs. G. Rathwell thanked
those who helped her at the
meeting. Mrs. Stewart gave a
short poem and the benediction
closed the meeting and lunch
was served.
