A half -ton Dodge truck, driven by Don Rosenlund, Rlt 1, Bayfield, failed to negotiate the curve on Highway 21 at Clan Gregor Square Tuesday evening last and snapped off 13 guard posts surrounding the Square. No'serious injury was reported. Mr. Rosenlund was alone in the vehicle. Jim Mackie of London is spending this week with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Makins. Darlene and John Smale, London, are visiting for a few days of their spring break with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. R. Roy Fitzsimons and uncles Terry and Kelso. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Raybroek, Marc, Todd and Darin, Win- dsor, visited Friday with Mr. and Mrs. R. Roy Fitzsimons on their way to Goderich where Marc was playing hockey in the Young Canada Hockey series. Friends will remember Bill when he was manager of the Branch Bank of Commerce when it first opened here. (News -Record photo) Jr. Farmers attend conference About 350 Junior Farmers from across Ontario represented 7,900 members at the Junior Farmer annual meeting and Provincial Con- ference at the. Prince Hotel in Toronto, March 21 and 22. Representing Huron Junior Farmers were: Paul Storey, RR 1, Dublin - Seaforth Club; Diane Jansen, RR 2, Seaforth - Seaforth Club; Don Melady, RR 2, Dublin - Seaforth Club; Casey Van Bakel, RR 2, Dublin - Seaforth Club; Larry Murray, RR 4, Walton - Seaforth Club; Tom Melady, RR 2, Dublin - Seaforth Club; Shirley Dougherty, RR 6, Goderich - Clinton. This year, the Provincial Conference program took a look at one of the serious problems facing Junior Far- mers and many other organizations - how to com- municate effectively. With the theme, "Eh? What did you say?", delegates , examined their personal abilities in com 'nun icating ideas and information. The program encouraged them to experience varied techniques and hopefully develop new com- munication skills that will help them in their local club situation. The program con- sidered the potential for communication ' through various mediums including the printed word, the spoken word, audio-visual aids and body language. During the Annual Banquet, Saturday night, Provincial Directors for 1975 were in- stalled including Tom Melady, RR 2, Dublin, Provincial Director for Huron County. Recipients for the 1975 Junior Farmer Travel Opportunities were also announced. Londesboro III, 4-H The „meeting was held on March l l th in the Londesboro Hall. The minutes were read by secretary Cheryl Reid and Ann Overholt and Marlene Sewers read subject matter about things to wear on different occasions.
