The pianist was Mrs.. Allen Bosman, with ' Danny Lear on guitar, Harry Lear on kettle drum, Mrs. Allen Shaddick on trombone. The flowers in the church • were placed in loving memory of Ed. Bell, Joe Yungblut and George Mclllwain, who passed away past week, by their families. Sympathy is extended to these families. There will be no services through February while Rev. McDonald is on holidays. The budget was read by Teilman Westerhout and it was moved to raise the Manse Repairs budget from $200 to $1,000; the M. and S. objective raised to, $4,200; and the fire insurance policies raised. The budget was accepted with these changes. The 1974/ interest money from the Maines estate is to be used to complete Scout and Cub projector Fund to further christian education. Cheerio Club The Cheerio Club held their meeting on Wednesday, January 22 at the home of Jessie Jones with 12 members and three visitors present: The meeting opened with Dora Shobbrook acting president reading "New Beginning" followed by a hymn. (News -Record photo) business splitting up After nearly 29 years of continuous business, the firm of Pickett and Campbell is splitting up and Bob Cam- pbell will run the Clinton business as Campbell's Men's Wear. The firmg originally I1Y started up in 1946, and was located in the store that is now occupied by the Dutch Store -on Albert Street. Ken Pickett and Bob Campbell bought out Plumsteel Brothers. Brownies meet learn new songs Two weeks ago at Brownies, we learned how to use cards to talk p ,.deaf people. The Golden Bar Brownies were taught to sing "0 Canada" and "God Save the Queen". We had a lot of fun and learned a lot of new things. In reminiscing in an in- terview this week, Mr. Campbell said he has seen many changes in the clothing business in the last 29 years. When they first opened their store, they sold men's and boy's wear, some yard goods, blankets, towels, and even boots and shoes for men, women and children.
