Ginn, Hugh Lobb, John
Westbrooke, Joe Fritzley,
Doug Feagan, Marion
Powell, Hazel McCreath and
Audrey Middleton • plus one -
guest, Wayne Tebbutt.
John. Westbrooke was
elected chairman for the
1975 term; Hazel McCreath
as vice chairman; Joe
Fritzley, secretary; and
Audrey Middleton, press
secretary.
Residents of the township
will be interested to hear
that the Recreation Council
has planned another free
township skating party at
Goderich arena for some
Sunday in February. Watch
for a definite date sent by'
note from the school. So
even if you don't skate, come
and join the fun. Perhaps
you could bring your
favourite skating record.

This year's Junior Farmer
Talent Festival promises to
provide a full day's en-
tertainment for the near

attend.
Over 200 entries, a record
number, have been made for
this program to be held
February 1st at the Royal
York Hotel in Toronto.
Huron County will be
represented in the public
speaking, singing, square
darlting and general talent
competitions.
Mary Anne Miltenburg,

taking part in the Public
Speaking competition.
The Huron County Choir,
under the director Larry
Murray, RR 4, Walton will
be participating in the Choir
Festival. .
The Vocal Solo competition
is popular again this year.
Donna Henderson, RR 5,
Seaforth and Larry Murray,
RR 4, Walton will be singing
in this event.
="Talent Hunt" one of the
most popular and amusing
parts of the day, will include
an entry from this county as
well. Tom Melady and Don
Melady from Dublin will be
entered in . the musical
presentation
Square dancers from
Centralia College of
Agricultural Technology will
represent this county in the
Square Dancing Com-
petition. The dancers are
Lynn Douglas, John
Thomas, Patty Wilcox,
Robin Hood, Gord Gibb,
Cheryl Cable, Matt Jacobs,
Marie Brown and Jack
Wharram. Charlie Bowman
is the caller for the set.
Leaders' courses here
The flOntario ministry of
agriculture- and food is ,
sponsoring 4-H Homemaking
Clubs in Huron County.
"What Shall I Wear?" is the
spring project. This club is
designed to help club
members plan their war-
drobes, using their clothing
allowance. Each girl makes
a blouse which fits 'into her
wardrobe.
Miss Jane Pengilley,
Home Economist for Huron
County, will be conducting
the following , " Leaders'
Training Schools:
Hensall area, Thursday and
Friday, January 30 and 31,
Hensall United Church,
Hensall;
Seaforth area, Monday and
Tuesday, February 10 and 11,
First Presbyterian Church,
Seaforth;
In addition, the Festival
will feature Art , Crafts,
Photography and Writing
displays with contributions
from Junior Farmers across
Ontario. Rhonda Ferguson,
Dublin will be participating
in the writing displays.
The "Show of Stars' in the
evening will be the climax of
the day's program. Winners
of most events will perform
to a capacity audience in the
Canadian Room. One of the
highlights will be a
presentation by the massed
Junior Farmer choirs under
the direction of Mrs. Marie
Deveareux of Port Perry.
Also during this program,
winners of several of this
year's Junior Farmer travel
programs will be announced
including the Australia and
New Zealand visit and the
Ontario Ministry of
Agriculture and Food
Scholarships to the United
Kingdom.

Vanastra Parks,
Recreation and Community
Centre Board are sponsoring
a "Share the Wealth Draw".
Each ticket costs $1 with
proceeds to the indoor
swimming pool fund.
On January 25, Scott
Luckham, of Country Market
Vanastra drew the winning
ticket held by Ken Reidy of
Seaforth, Mr. Reidy will be
presented with a cheque for
$503.
The "Share the Wealth
Draws" will continue with a
winner each month, Rene
Brochu, Facilities Manager
at Vanastra, is in charge of
the campaign. Tickets are
$10 for a book of 12 or $1
each.
"Share .the Wehlth" and
support Huron County's first
Indoor Swimming Pool.
Diane Durnin, Recreation
Director for Vanastra, has
presented a program for
Winter Recreation at
Vanastra. If you missed the
registration, please register
the first night of the
programs of interest to you.
Supervised activities for
all ages begin February 3rd
and run to March 29.
Boys and girls clubs which
include gym and fun ac-
tivities, provide dancing and
physical skills.
Floor gymnastics for
children with the .emphasis
on tumbling skills will help

the children improve co-
ordination.
On Saturday mornings, a
craft program for children
four years and up is to be
held with no registration fee.
Men's, women's and youth
volleyball and basketball are
scheduled.
Fees for all programs are
$1.50 per person. Register
