No. 4 Community Club was held at the home of Verna Lobb. Linda then read an article called "Small Town". Marlene Forbes read the minutes of the December meeting and the annual report. Roll call was an- swered with "Last year's New Year's Resolution — Did you keep it? This year's resolution." by 14 members. Milena Lobb read the treasurer's report for December and the annual report. The secretary's books and the treasurer's books. were then turned over to the new officers. The slate of officers for 1975-76 was read: president, Linda . Jones4• vicepresident, ' Dianne Lobb; second vice- president, Karen Watson; secretary, Madelaine Bar- tlett; treasurer, Norene Tebbutt. The February meeting will be held at Lula Merrill's home. A "bake. sale" , will also be held. The members voted to give $10 to the Ability Fund. The meeting closed with the Mizpath Benediction. Lunch was served with Grace Forbes assisting Verna. Baptist Women pick officers The January meeting of the Baptist Women's Auxiliary was held on Tuesday, January 21 at the home of Mrs. Irene Dupee. They opened the meeting with a hymn, followed by the Lord's Prayer. The devotions were based on Lamentations 3:1-33 "Great is God's Faithfulness". Hazel Clifford went on to read a letter received from Marilyn Lemon, a missionary, and_Irene Dupee closed this portion in prayer. The minutes were. read from the last two meetings by Mavis Morrison, and the A request from residents in Harpurhey for street lights in their hamlet has been followed up by Tuckersmith council. Reeve Elgin Thompson reported at Tuesday night's meeting that a contractor's estimates on .18 lights. would be available at next week's council meeting., Council is also in- vestigating the5iins iion,ofbl, .a two more lig is in Egmondville, near the Seaforth boundary. Clerk Jim McIntosh sad the 18 lights in the village of Brucefield, which is totally owned by the Township, - cost $279 a year, in operating costs. 64 lights in Egmondville which are rented from Ontario Hydro at a flat rate cost over $2,000 per year. Rental agreements with Hydro for street lights are no longer available: treasurer' reprt was given by Anita Kiss. A note of thanks was read and then general discussions followed. Hazel then had all par- ticipate in a game on the parts of the body. Fees and Missions were collected and the roll call was answered by 10 mem- bers"and one visitor. They then had a Dutch Auction, with articles donated by Mrs. ' "ppington and Barbara Bellefluer. They sang another well known humn , and had a quick re-election of all of last year's officers, which are as follows: president, Mrs. Hazel Clifford; vice- president, Mrs. Irene Dupee; secretary, Mrs. Mavis Morrison; treasurer, Mrs. Anita Kiss; flower com- mittee, Mrs. E. Butler and Mrs. L. Leppington. Then a ' surprise Baby Shower was given for Mrs. Shirley Buruma and later lunch .was served which was brought by Mrs. Trudy BUstri and Moris Morrison. Next month's meeting will be meld on February 18 at the home of Mrs. Moris Morrison.
