The minutes were read and the treasurers report given. The roll call was answered by the paying of fees. A pot luck supper is to be served at the annual meeting on January 27th. The Presbyterial is to be held February 26th at Trinity United Church, Listowel. Joseph Yungblut, Lon- esboro, a life long resident f Hullett Township died on nary 21 in Clinton Public ospital where he had been patient for two weeks llowing a short illness. He was born May 31, 1887 Hullett Township, the son e the late Frederick tngblut and Elizabeth tterson. He farmed until tirement 17 years ago to ndesboro. He married Amelia Ann dams, on June 11,.1913. She edeceased him on ebruary 5, 1963; Surviving are two sons, rederick of Woodstock, enry of Niagara Falls, Ont; d two daughters, Mrs. ssell (Margaret) Good, ndesboro, Mrs. Carl athleen) Longman, Blyth. Also surviving are 17 and -children and 12 great - and -children. Funeral, services took ace. January 23 from the 11 Funeral Home, Clinton, ith the Rev. Stanley cDonald of Londesboro United Church officiating. Burial was in Blyth Union Cemetery. Pallbearers were grandsons, Earl, Tom, Louis and George Yungblut of W-oodstock, Kenneth Longman of Blyth and James Yungblut of Niagara Falls, Ont. Flowerbearers were John Lyons, Frank Dolmage and - Douglas Popp. Mrs. Marion Jane Thor- neloe, R.R. 4, Denfield, died in St. Joseph's Hospital, London, January 26 following "an illness of several months. She was 44. She was born June 6, 1930 in Hensall where she lived until she was 16 when she came to Goderich. She was the daughter of William Angus and Pearl Elizabeth (Drysdale) McLaren. She moved to London in 1963. She worked as a bank teller until her illness forced her to retire. She was an adherent of Knox Presbyterian Church. Surviving are twC ,04 4,04 daughters, Mrs. Winston (Anne Elizabeth) Powell, R.R. 2 Seaforth and Mary Jane Thorneloe, R.R. 4 Denfield; and her dear friend, William McConnell, London. She was. predeceased by her mother in June, 1974 and by her sister, Mrs. Robert (Lois) MacDonald in October, 1974. Funeral service was Wednesday January 29 at Stiles Funeral Home with the Rev. G.L. Royal of- ficiating. Interment was in Hensall Union Cemetery. Pallbearers were John Hartwick, Jack Drysdale, Danny Barbosa, Bob Glenn, Malcolm MacDonald and Morris McEwen. Hear this man of faith proclaim God's word for today. See God in action as he prays for the sick. MRS. MAYSIE STEWART Mrs. Maysie Stewart, 116 Oxford Street, died January 8 in Alexandra Marine and General,Hospital following a brief illness. She was 78. She was born November 9, 1896 in Aberdeen, Scotland, the daughter of Francis Garden and Margaret (Brown) Murdoch. She came to Guelph at the age of 16 and lived in Woodstock and Clinton before coming to Goderich about 1935.She resided in Benmiller for 18 years and returned to Goderich in 1962. She at- tended:school in. Scotland as well as the MacDonald Institute at Guelph. She was married in 1945 in Goderich to Joseph Stewart who died June 12, 1960. She was a • member of Knox Presbyterian Church. She is survived by one niece, Mrs. Robert (Joy) Powell, Mississauga and one • nephew,"Dr. Frank Murdock, British Columbia. She was predeceased by two brothers, Frank and George Murdoch. Funeral service was Friday, January 10 at Stile§ Funeral Home with Rev. G. L. Royal officiating. Interment was in Colborne Cemetery. Pallbearers were Stewart Middleton and Fred Elliott, both of Clinton; John Kernighan, Walter Tigert, Gerry Pitre and Bill Williams, all of Goderich. This year, the local appeal is under the direction of the Clinton Chapter of the Imperial of the Daughters of the Empire (IODE) and the chief Marching Mother is Janeen Clynick of Clinton. They are looking after an area that includes Clinton, Vanastra, Holmesville, Brucefield, Varna, Bayfield, Londesboro, . and part of Goderich Township. The Ability Fund, originally called the March of Dimes, is set up for adults of any disability. It provides wheelchairs, crutches, prosthetic appliances, social get togethers, and ability centres where the han- dicapped are trained to enter the work force, or where the 'severely disabled can enjoy a work -recreation program. The Fund also provides transportation services, and summer holidays at a camp for the disabled.
