The annual repor.a of the County
Matter and County Treasurer showed
the order to have made good and
substantial progress during the past
year. There are now thirty lodges
in the comity, located in the follow-
ing districts : Goderich, six lodges ;
Hullett, six ; btauley, five ; Bid.
dulph, thirteen ; Each of these dis•
triots reported an increase in mem-
bership, and mostly all the lodges to
be in a good financial position.
The Orange Mutual, Insurance
scheme is becoming very popular and
a largo number of t!'*e members have
signified their iuteution of jeiuing it
a: ouce. This will supply a want
long felt in the Orange Associatiou.
A resolution was unanimously '.ad-
opted commending the Government
in the noble stand taken by them in
°arlying out the death sentence on
Louis Riel.
The sum of $20 was gr•.auted to
assist Rev. Bro. Ohiniquy in carrying
on his noble work.
The Treasurer's report submitted
showed the finances of the County
Lodge to bein a healthy condition, a
large surplus being on hand.
