• CONFESSION IS TIME.
Cleveland, O„ Herald. ,
Yesterday and the day before we copied
into our columns from the Rochester, N. Y.
Democrat and Chronicle a remarkable state.
ment,made by J..B, Henion, M. D., a gentle•
man who is well known in this pity. In
that article Dr. Elation recounted s wonder-
ful experience which befell him, and the
nextdaywe published from the some paper
a second article, giving au account of the
excitement in Rochester, and elsewhere,
caused by Dr. Heuioe's statement. It i$
doubtful if any two articles were oyer pub-
lished which caused greater commotion both
among professionals and laymen.
Slime the publication of these two articles,
haying been beseiged with letters of inquiry,
we sent a eommuuication to Dr. Heuiou and
also to` H• Warner & Co., asking if any
given, and here
"roof could be e ,

it is;
GeNTLEa na : I owe my life and present
health wholly to the power of Warner's Safe
Cure, whiels snatched me from the very brink
of the grave: It is not surprising that peo-
ple should questione statement I made
(which is time in ever. respect) for my re-
covery was as groat a marvel to myself, as to
my physicians, and friends. * ' *
J. B. HEZION, M. D.
ROCHESTER, N. Y., Jan. 21.
Slap: The best proof we eau give you that
the statements made by Dr. Henion are
entirely true, and would not have been pub-
lished unless strictly so, is the following
testimonial from the best citizens of Roch-
ester, and a card published by Rev. Dr.
Foote. H. H.' Warner & Co.
To Whom it May Concern
We are personally or by reputation ac-
quainted with Dr..Henion, and we believe he
would publish no statement not literally true.
We are alao personally or by reputatiou well
acquainted with H. H. Warner & Oo., pro-
prietors of Warner's Safe Cure, (by which
Dr. Henion says he was cured) whose com-
mercial and personal standing in this com-
manity are of the highest order, and we
believe that they would not publish any
statements which were not literally and
strictly true in every particular.

There w s published in the Rochester
(N. Y.) Democrat and Chronicle of the 31st
.)f December, a statement made by 3. B.
Henion, M. D., narl oting how be had been
cured of Bright's disease of the kidneys,
mimed in its last stages, by the use of Warn-
er's Safe Cure. I was referred to in that
statement, as having recommended and
urged Dr. Heniot to try the remedy, which
he did, and was cured. The statement of
Dr. Henion is true, so far as it concerns
myself, anti I believe it to be true in all
other respe‘cts: He was a parishioner of
mine and'--ltuited him in his sickness. I
urged him teiulce the medicine and would
do the same again to any one who was
troubled with a disease of the kidneys and
liver. ISRAEL FOOTE, (D. D.,)
(Late) Rector of St. Paul's Lpisoopal
Church. Rochester, N. Y.
It seems impossible to doubt further in the
face of such conclusive proof.
TRUE TO HER FIRST Lnvz.-- Charles
Draper Perry, a machinist, began a
suit for divorce in the Superior Court
at Detroit ou Friday against Georgina
Davey Perry, alleging simply deser-
tion. The story he tells, however. is
somewhat more sensational. Oct.
31, 1880, he married Georgina Davey
at Kiugstou. Some years before
Miss Davey had been engaged to a
man named Robert Walker, who went
to California to seek his fortune.
Suddenly his letters to his betrothed
stopped and soon afterwards news of
his death reached her. She mourned
for him for three years and at length
bestowed her hand upon Perry.
Scarcely was the wedding riug placed
upon her finger and the oongratuta-
tioes showered upon her when a
friend whispered in her ear :—"Rob
Walker is alive and on his way home,"
The bride, who but a moment ago
was the picture of happiness, falls in

Mr, J. E. Toho, of Exeter, was given
the appointment of County Inspector
of Public Sohoole, be being opposed
by several other applioaute : His
majority wee slight.
On motion, the eum of $3,000 was
ordered to be raised for the improve-
ment of boundary lines, to be paid
the respective muuloipilities, after the
June meeting of oounoll.
Metiers. Haretone, of Seaforfh, and
Halle of Goderich, were appointed an
Board of Co. Examiners of whoa
Trustees for the current year.
Moved by T. 'Strachan, seconded
by B, S. Cook, and carried, that the
council be informed that an applica-
tion is beim made to the Local Legis
lature, to form a county, and take
away from the Co, of Huron, the
townships of Grey, Howiok, and
villages of Wroxeter, this council
most earnestly protests against this
scheme baing oarried out, as being
against the wishes of the people of
these municipalities, and that the
Warden and Clerk be instructed to
petition the Legislature on behalf of
Ibis county against Ibis act being
ooasu.nmated.
