Church Anniversary. -- Anniversary
services were conducted in Benmiller
United church on Sunday morning and
evening. Rev R. G Hazlewood of
Walton. a former pastor, was the
speaker at both_ services and deli fered
two inspiring sermons. Large con-
gregations were present at both ser-
vices: 'The church was bej utifully
decorated for the occasion. The inane
choir rendered special ulusic at the
rn9rning , service ;, in 'the evening the
Auburn choir rendered :some very tine
musizt find singing which.was much ap-
pteriated by the Benmiller peol e.. A_

The. death a Mrs. Alexander Mac-
Kenzie o f Bruceiieid occurred at the
home of her . daughter, Mrs. Andrew
Moore, Egnnondyiile, ' in her eightieth
year. Two daughters and, one son
survive.
John Brompton, of the Londesboro
district, was seriously 'injured on
Thursday last when the tractor with
which he was plowing on the farm
of James Scanlon ran over him, break-
ing three ribs. Just what led to the
accident is not known. The injured
man was removed to the Clinton
hospital.
Orland Taylor, fourteen -year-old son
of Mr. and-_ Mrs. Ross .Traylor. Exeter,

Luchnow in his eightieth year. file

gannon, • the eldest of eleven children
of Mr. and Mrs. William McNeil of
whom only three are now living. He
married Mies Mary Jane Lockhart
and the couple lived at Luehnow until
they moved to Lbndesboro, where they.
remained for sixteen years. They then
moved to Alberta and after farming
there for twenty -sib ;ears they moved
back to Lucknow fad years ago. Sur
viving, - besides the widow, are two
daughters and sC%;en soles.

at Carlow last Thursday afternoon,
but only a fair number of adults were
