On Tuesday evening a commrinity
party was held in the •Town Hall for
Mr.. and Mrs. Oliver Hopson, who re-
ceived many beautiful and useful gifts
from their .friends. Mr. Ken Mer er
was master of -ceremonies.and Mrs. IF.
Telford read ^the address; Oliver mak-
ing •a suitable reply. Dancing • was
enjoyed and a delicious lunch was
served. •
Mr. and Mrs. T. W. Parch have sold
all their summer cottages at Hayfield
Highlands,. with the exception of their
own slimmer home. The new -owners

To Rebuild, Ritz Ilotel.—Work , has
been commenced in preparation for the
rebuilding of the Ritz Hotel, which was
destroyedby fire two months ago. The.
new building will be a two-story, frame
structure, 'somewhat larger than the
old one, and will contain fifteen • bed-.
