is circulating to advertise Goderich.
The Indian figure. carved out by
A. H. Jury, is to be found in the
collection of Indian Archaeology and
Pioneer Life at the Thiversity of,
WeStern Ontario. ` Photographed
against a lightly clouded sky, it reilk-
sents the beginning of human life in
the Goderich district. The "dile-
feathered • Indian" is. the' ."neutral
Indian," first resident of Huron county,
as distinguished from other tribes suelf
as Iroquois, etc. The "neutral Indian"
was extinguished in Huron eounty by
.the ,Iroquois in 1(151% according to
historical records.
This booklet depicts Goderich in
pictures in its history. 'waterfront, in-
dustries, public buildings, _recreation
facilities, hotels and tourist accom-

facilities', fine churches and- scenic

Its purpose is to • better aequaint

This booklet is one of three publicity
'efforts of the Goderich Board of Trade
at a total cost of some ,S3.000., The.
first was .a frill -page advertisement in
the industrial year book of The Fin-'
ancial Post- -which is sent to al.1 parts
of Canada, United States and sources.
for securing new industries from over -
setts. . The second was the printing of
thousands of pamphlets to distribute -
to tourists aequainting them -with the
beauties and facilities for tourists at
Goderieh.
Pyinting of the booklet was done by
a Lonclon firm, while the Contents were:
compiled by the publicity committee of
the Board of Trade of which Stan
Prevett is chairman.

here for the funeral.
The funeral servide was ,held this
(Thursday) afternoon at the Brophey
funeral home, and was conducted by
Rev. L. H. WuTher, of Victoria street

Elliott, George Wilson, William Sprotit
