Birthday Observed.—„Mrs. Thomas
Wiggins observed her severity -seventh
birthday on Saturday, September 13th,
and the day was much" enjoyed. All
the members of her family were home:
Mr,. and Mrs. Varkie Wiggins and son
Billy, Will Wiggins, of Dungannon;
Bert Wiggins, B.A., wife, and daughter
Valerie, of Brantford. Mrs. A. B.
Pentland, a long-time friend and neigh-
bor, also . was present. Mrs. Pentland,
who noiv resides in Toronto, was visit-
ing her family in these parts and was
able to maintain her record of visiting
Mrs. Wiggins on her birthday. A
lovely dinner was enjoyed and there
were beautiful_ flowers from her son
Bert's garden. Mrs. Wiggins' little
granddaughter Valerie led in singing
"Happy Birthday to . You." We join
in wishing Mrs. Wiggins many happy
returns of the .day.

prior to the latter's marriage. The

dowers. The guests were received at
the door by the bride-to-be and her
mother, with Lois Webster, younger
sister, in charge of the guest book.
The dining -table was set with a lace
cloth, reflector and centre bouquet,
silver tea service, and white candles
in silver. holders. Those pouring tea

Clinton ou Monday afternoon. A son

five years ago in Ashfield, where he
resided all his life until his removal
to Clinton early this year. He was
not married. He was - a member of
