Salvation Army in Goderich. The

in 1485. The first officer to be in

by Major D. FOrd. Captain. G. Smith
then introduced Akityor D. D. Mooney
as chairman for the evening. Mayor
Mooney extended hearty ,welcome
to the band with good wishes for a suc-
cessful week -end. He -asked. all to take

of poems of -outstanding Canadian
poets with a countientary 011 each. In
• additional remarks, he congratulated
the Goderich- Lions ('lub on, its work
amongst, young people. ''This work
has been noticed beyond your bound-
aries," he stated. During the course
of his address, he passed along the
stiggestion that the present Court
House could be turned into a museum
to preserve things of historical inter -
et in Huron county for po8ferity.
As guest speaker, it was the chore
of Mr. Jefferson to draw from the hat

Chapman, reported that a parcel of
good used clothing, chiefly infants'
clothes, had been sent in 'June; also
three afghans. Mrs. D. E. Campbell
reported that two boxes • of food had
been sent. The I.O.D.E. are still asking
for clothes, afghans and food parcels.

families in their homes and in the
