The trouble, as near as we could learn, arose out of a dispnte about the plastering of a house, which Casper Weaver had done for W. A. Zent. The dispute ended in a quarrel. in which the latter got the best of the battle. It appears that Zent refused to accept the job as done by Weaver, hence the row and the litigation. Weaver, who, we learn was in the fault, finally settled the matter by pay- ing all costs, and Zent agreeing to get anotb- er-man to finish his house. A couple of weeks ago we made a compari- son between the prioes paid for wheat and barley by the Exeter and St. Marys markets, taking for our authority the market reports as published in the newspapers. Tho Exe- ter buyers on the date mentioned were pay- ing at least two cents per bushel more for. wheat and five Dents more for barley than the St. Marys dealers. Tho Jourual says that a farmer got quotations from buyers of both places on date referred to, and that St. Marys buyers were paying two cents more than those of Exeter. This does not speak very well for the correctness of your market report, brother—two cents astray on wheat and five cents on barley. It is strange, too, that a 'Newhard farmer would be in Exeter and St. Marys both on the aaine day. Farm- ers, Exeter is the plane to market your grain —13 cents more for barley here than in the stone town, according to the market reports.
