Seaforth Reeve Says Feeling Is
Growing Against New
Oourt House
Reeve F. S. Sills of Seaforth, report-
ing to his Town ('ounvil on the last
session of the Huron County Council,
said that if the .County Council kept
on asking so much from the Provincial
Government all County business would
soon be centralized in Toronto. Some
of the reeves, he said, were beginning
to realize that; but with too many
others the, cry always is: "Ask the
Government for it."
Reeve Sills, as reported by The Ex:
positur•, Was equally outspoken in, his
opposition to the erection of a new
County -court house at Goderich, be-
cause he felt all present difficulties
could be overcome by the erection of
an addition to the present building .at.
only a fraction of the cost of a new
one.
Opposition, he said, to the tearing
clown of such a line old and historic
building as- the present court house is
ilicreasiug. A year ago Reeie N. R.
P ,rrtutee, of McKillop, was the lone
opponent of the erection of a net
Li11i1'diug, but novo, Reeve `iffls said, the
prem t'rs of the County Council were
pretty nearly equally divided.
