Town Council Hears o Deputations Maitland Golf 014, and Softball •-• League •Present Requepts The Town Council at its meeting on Friday night last again had two de- putations before it, this time from the - Maitland Golf Club and the Industrial Softball League. - F. R. Darrow, president*, and W. A. Coulthurst, secretary, representing the GoLf Club, as/sed for the -widening and improvement of'thQ road leading to the golf course froth the end ,,,,of Victoria street. Mr. -Darrow said the road, despite its rather dangerous,. condition, was used last year. by over 6,000 cars,. 'and -as an active season at the Club was in prospect this year Ole' improve- ment of the -road was an urgeut necessity. The requestwas referred to com- mittee of the whole Council.
