Reeve MacEwan-said that last year
everybody was busy and it was im-
possible to get anyone to look after

improvement of the cemetery -,plot.
It' was decided that the Council along
with a delegation from the Legion
should visit the cemetery and see what
improvements- could- be made in the
memorial plot.

The Strathroy resident took a
snapshot of Mr. Green on a recent
visit. This snapshot is pasted on
the envelope where the address is
normally written. Above the snap-
shot is the word "To" and below
the snapshot is "Goderich, Ont." -
The Postofiice ,had no difficulty in
' delivering the letter to the right
person.
Referring to.the manner -In which
he addressed the letter; the Strath-
roy resident. wrote, "It's safe ar-
rival will be further proof--af such'
were needed—that you are; not one
of those prophets who live' without
honor and recognition from their
own countrymen."

The lighthouse, the harbor lights and
the radio beam are in operation, Harold,
Corbett having arrived from Toronto
to take charge of the radio 'station.
Early yesterday (Wednesday) morn-
ing the freighter Altadoc led u proces-
sion out otL the harbor, and in twet
hours twelve vessels had cleared, softie
for Lake 1�'.iie points til take on coal
and others for the head of the Lakes
to,take on grain cargoes.
Vf the winter fleet of fifteen vessels
.only the three barges, I elcote, Swede -
rope and Mitchtibl•e•, were left, awaiting
a tug to"to\v them to lake Superior.
The twelve vessels which left yester-
day were : Altadoc, Quedoc, Fort Will -
doe, Windoc, Ontedoc, Mantadet:,
Saskadoc, Vendee, Bric•oldoc, Sullivan
Bros`, Starbuck and A. A. Hudson.

The , Iuiperiat '' Windsor, formerly
known as the "\Vindsolite, left Sarnia
at 8.a,uh. Wednesday. On approaching
Goderich a ship -to -shore message from
a..Patterseu ship gave' Capt.. I)yon an
idea as to the position of the icefields.
Thee, again, the radio beacon at the
harbor' wasa great help: "If it hadn't
been for the beacon we would never
have atteml)ted- to make Goderich
harbor,"' he said. •
This is the- third year that Capt.
I)yon has brought the first vessel of
the season i'gito Goderich harbor. It
was the seventh cargo of oil he hag
delivered this season, the others being
to purrs south of Sar iia.

rich Board of Trader from a light in-
dustry, textile, seeking• a location in
.Goderiell. The industry desires 6,000
feet of floor space, preferably one floor,
a minimum of 60 feet wide.

proximately 125, half of them male
and Half female, and unskilled. If
there is no ready-made building avail-
able in Goderich a suitable site is
