corn, but it maay vary in different dis-
tricts and with, different dealers. If

your dealer and the type of feed, you

tails of the increases recently allowed
on meals sold ,in restaurants?
A.—The increase allowed varies ac-
cording to the original prICe of • the
meal, but in no case may it be greater
thin 10 cents, Any meal of 50 cents.

cents. On meals over 50 cents the in-
crease allowed is ten per cent. of the
cost before the increase was permitted.

rich Organ Company and its enlployeee
honored Mr. Joseph D. Wilson with
the, presentation of addresses and gifts
last Saturday afternoon. It was •a
complete surprise to,m,.tiiy. Wilson when
Mr. Chas,, K. • Saunders addressed him
before the assembled executive and
plant employees in the shipping room.
The happy event also marked Mr,
Wilson's eighty-fifth, birthday, stied the
address, on behalf of the company,
after extending felicitations- contained
these words:
-"You have been an outstanding
citizen of the community throughout
the years. You. have taken an active
interest in your church, where you
have -held important pot itipes of trust
and. respousibility, besides dEs bcrtilir

the Town Council."
Mr. Saunders then presented a cheque
for 3100 on behalf of the Company.

the.factory, oh behalf of the employees
presented Mr. Wilson with-a-handsoine
table lamp. Ile extended congratula-
tions, and during his, address said:
"You have always been an outstand-
ing example to us all of a splendid,

atmosphere af the factory has been the'
better for your being here."

In a detailed reply to a questiozl;'froiri
-the . Bruce member, Mr. Howe said
seven 'of the buildings were purchased
by the `Ontario 1)epartnaeet- of Educa-
tion, with the cheapest at -3264 and the
costliest at 31,637,'
The Department of Public Works
purchased two, a Inairltenanee building
for 31,120 and the depot. service garage
for 3315. Huron County purchased
three, Preston- one, \Vi1lgham one,
Mitchell, Lucknow and Lucan one each,
and the Town of Paisley two. -
The air station • hospital was pur-
chased by the Goderich Hospital for
33,871. Two buildings went to Legion
branches at fort Elgin, another went
to Ailsa Craig branch, and a fourth to
Walkerton Legion.

its forty-sixth birthday on Monday, at
the bona? of :\;tre. W. 1'. Gallow, North
street, which was attractively decor-
ated with daffodils for the event. Mrs.
C. Staniforth, regent; presided.
` Although Miss Caupbell, correspond-
ence secretary, rend a letter from the
treasurer of the Provincial Chapter
recommending that I.0.II.E. funds were
not to be used for outside organiz-
atiens, 325 was voted for Chinese relief,
'On behalf of the Provincial campaign
committee, Mrs. Cecil L. Brown con-
gratulated the Chapter on completing
the quota for the Second war memorial.
A letter from the Goderich High
School District Board gratefully uck-
nowledged • the National Geographic
Magazine- donated by the Chapter. -
Ten dollars was donated to aid the
nursery play •school, for children of
pre-school. age.

Meeting of the Provincial Chapter at

\Ir. Wilson was born eighty-five years
ago in 1'lfeslilre, Scotland, .and came
to Canada at the age of ten years with
his, parents, the lane Mr,.. and ` Mrs;
Thomas I). Wilson, who settled at Port
Albert. 1 -Later he- worked at sa w•-
mifling, until he (1)1110 to Goderich in
1905:to he employed as al woodworker
for the Peter \ta(h:wan Fstate, before
joinipg the staff ,f` the Goderich Orgaan
('ompalay forty years ago. -During the
four year` of the first World War- he
was a ineliliiei' of the Town Council,
and sat wider four different mayors,
nil 1)011• deceased; Charles A. Reid,
Robert McLean. B. V. Mannings and
E. R. Wigle. The first -year he headed
the poll. He has Swell a member of

hytetian church for twenty-five years,
and is still keenly interested in ehurch-
tvork s and, he is a ' member of the
Canadian Order of Foresters.
