The Mission Band of Victoria -street
United church held the first meeting for
1947 on =Sunday afternoon. Doreen
Webster, president, .conducted the meet-
ing: Regret was expressed at the
absence of Mrs, William Peters, • one
of the' leaders; owihg to illness. The
'Scripture lesson, the story of` the five
loaves 'and two fishes, was read by
Mrs.- Keith Webster. Mrs.. Robert
"Good- told the concluding story about
"Mr, 'Bandage," the Indian goat- which
was given -to a: mission hospiterlx as -a
thank -offering by a - poor -"farmer who
had learned about Jesus its be,, was
being cured there.
During the business period it was
.decided to make scrapbooks from used
Christmas cards. The boys and girls
received their first copies of "World
Friends,"' the Mission Band paper.
