Hallowe'en social in the church shed on Tuesday evening. The evening began with the parade of characters in costume. Prize -winners were June Sowerby, Lois. Sowerby, Betty Lou Sowerby and A C. C. F. The presi- dent, 4une Sowerby, then took charge, Lois Sowerby acting as secretary. The roll call was ansWered by twenty-five members. The program consisted of choruses, stunts, two-part songs, piano solos, readings and contests. Three mirth -provoking stunts were enacted by the pupils in pantomime -"The Old Family Ford," "Major Operation" and "Elephant Walk." Mr. Harry Me- Creath of ,-StatfOrd, conducted a jack- o'lantern drawing. 611 test. John- Fal - Oiler as the winner. All were treated to home -Made candy, popcorn, peanuts and apples., The meeting 'closed with ,all singing the National Anthem.
