After residence of a few years 'in Stratford ainee his retirement from medical practice in Goderich, Dr. A1-1 fred Hope Macklin died on Sunday in Victoria Hospital, London, where he had beep a' patient for three weeks. He Was in -his • seventy-seventh. year. During his residence of thirty-five years in Goderieh took a keen inter- est in the affairs if the town and was twice honored by election to the mayor- alty, 1908-09. Dr. Macklin came • to Goderich in 1905 frow Mildmay, where he had tirst practised after his graduation from the University .of Toronto in 1890.
