PARKING, FACILITIES
AT.PO1 T ALBERT GOOD
Space. -Provided for Thousands of Cars
—Advice to Visitors t• y a
In the history of the past years of,
the International Plowing Matches,
while i o.znmoila.tieins were usually
well provided for the people' attending
the Match there was usually. a large
question mark regarding the parking
facilities for the thousands of cars and
trucks that were used as transporta-
tion. It was often the case' that the
.tractors, Moth for the use of the plow-
men and those On demonstration, were
called in for the" utilitarian purpose of
pulling some unfortunate out of a mud
hele..that had unexpectedly developed
.during an unwelcome rain storm.
This year, those attending the "Vic-
tory ;Match" can rest assured. that the
parking facilities: are , the best that
have ever existed. The concrete run-
ways that were built for the planes
using the °Port airfield during
the war years will provide a safe and
'solid parking spacefor thousands of
cars. The committee expects that
there will be close in the neighborhood
of seven thousand cars making use of
the area that is lieing set aside for
parking space, and they are confident
that they will be able almost td guar-
antee that no car or trtick owner will
have any cause for complaint over
these facilities this year.
It is- felt -that consideration by the
visitors' to the County will be given to
the fact that this year, as, never. before,
there is everywhere one of the great-
est housing shortages that have ever .
- existed in, the Dominion of Canada.
This shortage naturally, is being felt
in Unveil coiva ty , a s i't 9g—elsewhere; ..
but through the co-operation and the
hospitality of the people of IIuron the

conies for the International, be able to
accommodate everyone who is in need
of living space for the four days of
the match.
We would suggest that if you,' the
reader, are intending to visit, the• 1946
International, you would be well ad-
vised to write to the chairman of the
billeting committee, advising him of
when you will be attending the match,
and how many will be in your party.
