Ontario cannot take the time • out 'to
,go to the` laboratories of science nor

'$here is an answer to this question,
and a very "siaatple answer' too. As
every farmer knows, the International -
Plowing Match,for 1946, the "Victory
Match,°' �' is being held .at –the Port
Albert airfield, on the Blue .Water high-
way, October lath, 1.6th, 17th and 18th.
Every farmer, everyone who is in any
way connected with, or interested in,
the soil will be taking time out to
attend at least one if not the four
days of this year's International. Ac-
cording td"ftelvioe received from Mr. J.
A. Carroll, the secretary -manager -of
the Ontario Plowman's Association,
lractically all the large firths that
are at present supplying the farmers
with farm -machinery 'and equipment,
fertilizers, feeds, spray materiels and
a great variety of other supplies,'rang-
ing all the way from work clothes to
nlixmasters, will be represented at
Port Albert: Soo you see, even the

\\'ith so many of the farms either
on the hydro, -haying ordered, hydro, or

stitutes -uf ..Ontario have launched a
Roster contest throughout the Province.
The committee in charge asks that each
branch Institute accept the responsibil-
ity
esponsibility of holding this contest.. in its own
local community. The best posters
submitted in each branch Institute
will be sent on to the district ce i-
auittee for competition and judging.
The districts will provide prizes for
tliese competitions. , The best district 1
posters are to be sent on. to the Pro-
vhicial 13otird, to„ arrive not later than
November 30,' 19,46. Prizes' Will' be
provided by the 'Board 'for -the best

made for the Comfort and convenience
of farm Woolen attending the Inter-
national Plowing .]hatch at Port Albert
airport on October 15 to 18. In ad-
ditiol►, the fact that the exhibits of
farm home equipment and supplies
will be housed indoors, in four large
hangars, will ,make it possible for
the women. to view these ,exhibits in
comfortable surroundings. A special
rest room for women, where_ tea wi-`
be served free of charge, will be "one
of the features of the 1946 match.
Special entertainment is being provided
for women' visitors, including a motion,
picture theatre where continuous free
shows Will be provided. Women at-
tendingthe match will find much to
brtutt'lt \\ omens Instituter through-
out thte Province.

Following a brief reception at Gode-
rich and a drive about the town he'will
leave for Port Albert Airport at 1.15
p.m. His itinerary calls for hf u to
arrive at the entrance to the Airport:
Ott 2 p.m. ,H3e will then be . introduced
to officials, at the Plowing -Match.
At 2.15 p.m., he will go to the
Speaker's Stad and following his in,
troduction to 'the gathering he will
make his address at 2.30 P.m.
