Harold Ashton. of Goderich, pleaded not guilty to a charge of unlawfully assaulting Miss Evelyn Sproul, of Goderich. The case was adjourned for a week and bail was set at $200. Appearing _in court last week, Charles Durnin, of Goderich„ pleaded not guilty to a charge of breaking and entering • the cottage of Father Hill, which cottage is owned by • Miss Julia Lewis, Bail was set at $200. • At that time the case was "adjourned .._until today, ti when it was again ad- jotirned for two weeks. F. R. Hawkins. of Goderich, was 'fined $10 and costs when he pleaded guilty to a charge of careless driving on No. 4 highway south of Clinton.. Miss Eliza Ritchie appeared, •on a bench warrant, having failed to attend • court at Wingharn. She is charged with vagrancy.. and causing a, disturb- ance on July 4, to which charge she has pleaded not guilty.
