Q—My husband bought a second-
hand car three days ago. We have
been told by the garage man that
there is no ceiling price on the car, as
it is an old model, 1934. Would you
please let us know if this is correct?
A:—The garage man is quite wrong.
There certainly is a ceiling price on this
ear. As you gave all particulars in
your letter we -have passed it along to
the Motor Vehicles Division of - the
Board and they will let yuu know the
correct ceiling price.

to be plenty of money available at the
Present time and it cot4ld -be secured at
a reasonable rate of ,interest. It was

would see the launching of a Dominion
loan campaign in which quite a bit of
money for investing would be cleaned
up around the country, lie stated also
that the architect figured -it would taste
about - one and a -half years., to build
the court house. Treasurer._ Erskine
felt that from his various sourl;es of
advice it would save money to put
out the debentures as soon as possible.
Should First Ask for Tenders
Reeve Robt..E. Turner of Goderich
thought that .tenders for the job should
first be called and a Price obtained
before submitting a bylaw. Treasurer
Erskine said the bylaw was - prepared
on the architect's estimate of $250.000.
County Clerk Norman W. - Miller
pointed out that the County Council
had the legal authority to pass such
a bylaw Without. refeifing- it' to the
ratepayers.
Reeve Cecil Johnston of Ashfield
didn't think the matter should be hur-
ried and feared the eventual cost of the
building would. be higher than was at
present expected.
Reeve - 13. W. Tuckey of Exeter
thought the County would be well ad-
vised to prepare the bylaw and sell the
debentures now, since there might not
be another opportunity to get the money
easily and at a low rate of interest.
He pointed out that the matter would
.ultimately have to be referred to the'

."An estiinate is not a tender," said
Reeve Robt. Turner as Ile cautioned the
Council against.* oceetling too fast and

Reeve J. J. Evans of Wingham said,
"I never heard before of getting money
