W.C.T.U. PICNIC MEETING
The regular meeting of the W.C.T.U.
was held on Tuesday at Harbor Park,
with a good attendance. Mrs. Phillips
had charge o the. meeting, 'Mrs. Har-
mer read the Scripture lesson and Mrs.
Howell offered prayer. Readings were
given by Mrs. Morier,- Mrs. Janes, Mrs.
Phillips and Mrs. Cantelon. - The meet-
ing closed with the thence song 'and
prayer by 'Mrs. Phillips. Afterwards
a lovely picnic slipper was served and
enjoyed by all.

M 'rs. Ernest Johnston of Goderich
Township, • a patient at Alexandra Hos-
pitaai suffering from .a nervous break -
clown, 'Made her way out of the hospital
about 4 o'clock 'Tuesday -morning and
wandered about for twelve hours before
she Was found. •A search party of
about one hundred men was organized
and made a systematic smirch in and
about the town, and about 4 o'clock in
the after'noon.Mrs. Johnston was found
in a hush on a farm vest of highway

has since been taken to a London hos-
pital for treatment. •

bereaved `y the death of his father,
Adam Schaefer, of „Kitchener, who
passed away- Wednesday night of last•
week at the age of eighty years. De-
ceased- spent his boyhood at Heidel-
berg, Waterloo,, county, and lived at
Wingham before moving to Kitchener -
twenty -seven years ago. He was an
elder of St. An'drew's Presbyterian '
church, Kitchener. His wife, who sur -1
vives, is the, formet Matilda Quaid of
Port Albert, and -lie leaves also- three
sons and_ three .daughteers: Alfred- of
Teeitwafer, George of..Goderich, Manuel.

Good died Thursday night last at his
home on the Huron road, town, at the

son of W. H. Good and Mary' McLarty
Good and lived most of his .life .in

formerly Maude Jewell, and two child.
ren, Baldwin and Edna, predeceased
him. He is survived by- his second

Harold and Melvin, both of golborne
township, and five daughters,\ Mary,

Hazel, Mrs. Wilbert Thom, of Colborne

of Listowel: Myrtle, Mrs. William •Stir-'

Moughton, of Colborne township; Ade-
