ladies attended the April meeting of
the Women's Institute, held in the
Community Hall on Thursday after-
noon. Mrs. Archie Aitcheson, the
president, was in the chair. A collec-
tion was taken in aid of the Cancer
Fund. May 17 was chosen as the date
for the Red Cross quilting, . Mrs.
Andrew Gaunt favored, 'with ma solo,
Mrs. McKenzie Webb gave a reading,
"A, . Perfect "Day," and Mrs. Will
Rutherford and. Mrs. E. W, Rice sang
a duet: Mrs. Lorne IverS of Dun-
gannon, the district `president, was
guest speaker' and gave an interesting,.
paper on "Travel and Its Advantages.' '
