W. J. Hodge, chairman of the Recre- ational cOromittee, briefly reviewed the many functions' whieh such a building would 'provide for mad named a tent- ative site, a short distance from town, which -IS being sought for the building: - Mr. Hodge suggested that, Vvitla -the tax -payers permission fgr construction of the centre by public vote, the neces- sary money to finance the project could be raised partly by public sub- scriptiOn and -Partly by a small in- crease in th'e tax ratebeing made.
