Jewell passed away in Alexandra Hos-
pital on Monday night, in her seventy-
seconcryear. .A.Ithough a resident of
Goderich for the -last two 07ears, Mrs.
Jewll livect in Colborne township most
of her life. -Formerly Victoria , Ade-
laide Wright. she was born in Hullett
township, the daughter of Mr. ad
Mrs. Johit -Wright. After' -'her mar-
riage, she lived at- Benmiller, vvhere
her husbend operated a blacksmith
shop. Mr. Jewell died two years ago,
-after -which edie moved'to Gutter -in:
Sarviveng are three • sisters, Mrs.;
Joseph Robson and Mrs. Joseph Wat-
kins, of Willett -towieship, and -Mrs.
William McCauley, of Ramat/ea; -and
two brothers', John Wright„Seaforth,
and Foster Wright, Auburn.
The funeral has been postpoped from
this (Thersday). afternotneko Saturday
afternoon, because of weather_ condi-

home of Mrs. Percy Warrener, Nelson

She was •twice 'Married, the first tinte
to Thomas 'Senith and „in 1939, after
Mr. 'Smith's. death, to Mr. Carrick.
Surviving .besides her husband are
three sieters: „Mrs. Joan McKnight, of
Aubsfin ;, -Mrs. Fred Rivette of. DIM--
gennon, and Miss Violet Steel, of De-
troit; and font.. brethers,._James Steel,
of Goderich; Thomas, . of 'Brandon;
William, in Northern Ontario, "led
Richard in the West.
The funeral service will be held at
the Wheeler funeeid home on Fridoy
afternoon. Interment will be in Malt:
