1945.
Principal Snider offered congratula-
tions to the members of the graduating
class, and called on inspector Staples
to present the, diplomas.
Mr. Staples spoke of the adjust-
ments to be made ly the pupils on
entering the Collegiate Izfstitute and
stressed the need of honest work, good
sportsmanship and fair play. —

MRS. PERCY STEWART
"After a lingering - ,...illness, Esther
Patton, widow of the late Percy
Stewart, passed away at Alexandra
Hospitaon Monday morning In her
seventy-ninth year. Born in Colborne
township, the -daughter of John Pat-
ton and Ann Coroogh, - Mrs. Stewart
lived in that township all her life.
..She is_ survived- by _i, son, Wilbert,
of Colborne .township, two daughters,
Mrs. Laurens Gray, of Belleville, and
"M°rs., j loyd Young, of Colborne town
ship, and one brother, John Patton,
of Colborne township. -Also surviving
are nite grandchildren and four great-
grandchildren. Mrs. Stewart was a
member of Knox Presbyterian church.
The funeral " service was held' at
Brophey's funeral home onv-:Wednes
day a'ftern'oon, Rev. Richard Stewart
officiating. The pallbearers Were M.
Shaw, • harry Vokes, Allen Linfield,
Russell. King, Stewart -King and Keith

maple and beech body wood: delivered
at the school. The amounts required
are as follows: S.S. No. 2, 20 cords;
• S.S. No. 3, 1'8' cords ; . S.S. No.- 4, 25
cords; S.S. No. 12, 25 -cords; S.S. No.
14, 12 cords; S.S. No. 17, 20 cords, and
one cord, of -cedar to be delivered to
Nos. 2, 3, and 17. .All deliveries to be
made by June 1, 1946.
