slid from the approaobiug traveller
until on the very bank of the ravine,
the situation is beautiful. And in all
probability the railway station wilt
be located here, as pure dpriug water
is abundant. After leaving Clear

We pees through Cartright and again
the aspect of the country changes,

light and stoney. We passed the
night ai Killarney where the soil
rivals that of Crystal Oity, but stones
are very numerous: A. few miles to

Child desertion is quite common around
Lumley village. About the middle of June
a male ififant was left at the door of Mrs.
Dinnin, and on Sunday, Aug. 16th, a female

Usborne council have taken. steps to try to
prevent this disgraceful practice from being
further pursued, by offering $30 reward for
such information as will lead to the convic-
