of friends with his experience on the
battlefield at Batoohe. Mr. McLean

Mr. Wm, Ball, of Hallett, lust a

field during the night, a storm came

shelter; the barn door not being
properly faetened one of them broke
through the floor, and was found in
this position in the morning, dead.
Mr. Ball had refused $2130 for it a
short time before.

quality. We did not hear of any sales
having been made. The following

steers, Charles Wilson.
On Wednesday morning of last
week,Samuel Diokson,aon of Regietrar
Dickson, of Goderich, was thrown
out of his waggon against a telegraph
post by his runaway horses, and
suffered severe though not fatal
injuries. The accident occurred nesr
the house of Mr. Kerr, of MoKillop,
by whose family the injured man was
oared for until he could be removed
to his home. The physicians report
that no bones were broken.
On Friday evening last week, while
about to milk her Dow, Mrs. Sault!,
of Goderioh, received a kiok from the
animal whioh broke her leg. The
animal feeling some one touch it, and
nob perceiving who it was kinked out
suddenly with such force as to cause
the accident. Mrs. Bailie has suffer-
ed mnoh pain from the accident, but
we are glad to hear that at-laet ac-
counts she was getting on very nicely.
