Totttart4eke couolueiou of his speech
he road a number of extracts from
statements made by parties examined
by a ppeolai committee appgrinted to
take evidence upon the working of the
probibitoey law. In name one of
these, -after giving the audience a
a1sU$e which ryas favorable to the
prc*h ztory'side cf the question, be
•tapped and sitid that if his opponent
were reading the extract he would go
no farther, but atopyhete—as that was
the way the Slott Act advocates al-
ways did --hat they always garbled
the evidence to suit their own purpos-
es. During the delivery of his epeech
Mr. Moir Was repeatedly applauded,
Mr. Morrow upon rising said the
was very happy to have theopportun

throughout all the campaigns in
whiob.he bad taken part, so far, he

of the counties, who could be induced
let take the platform in favor of the li-

the chair ; that wherever he had
been he bad only to contend with the
hired speakers of the traffic brought
from a distance, who, like Mr. Moir,
took great pains at the begioniug of
their addresses to eonvicce the audi-

He then gave inetanoes in which
these claims were put forward, one
that of Mr. .Bell—not of Exeter but
of:Dundee—wino honestly coufessed
that lie was a drinking man, and the
other of a Mr. Davis wile was known
to be a member of a large wholesale
whiskey firm in Hamilton. He then
said that for himself he never yet had.
been under the necessity of telling his
audience that he was a temperance
nae. He then adtninistored a severe
castigation tothe previous speaker for
the uncalled for and uujuetifiable
charge lie had made against biro, of
garbling and falsifying tbo record,
completely turning the tables upon
his opponent. Mr. Moir had also
Paid that in his (Mr. Morrow's) first
speech he had ‘said nothing, palling
for reply. Mo. Morrow then gave the
skeleton of his first address in which
ho had proven beyond the possibility
of contradiction that the record of the
traffic all down the years was one of
no good conferred, but resulted alone
in pauperism, misery and crime, and
that in spite of ell the license legis -

KING of ALL WASHERS
(Patented in Canada, July 13,1880.)
Mr. 0. Rau wishes to inform the iuhabi
tants of 'Exeter and viemity, that he has sole ( (
right of this washer for Huron County, and New .Drug Store
also that he has appointed lair. Robs.. Pickard
agent for Exeter, and any person wishing to
see the Machine, will please call at the Exeter
Tea Store. It was thoroughly tested, and its
merits approved before the patent was ap •
plied tor, It has since been placed in com-
petition with a great many washe, s of note,
and in every instance proved its superiority.
It is, without a doubt, the most perfect in
action over invented ; the improvements are
prominent and well defined ; they are Lot
imitations with a slight change of parts of
some old played out patents, such as the
publics are often fleeced with by Patent Right
sharks, but they compose an original and
genuine invention, containing distinctive
features, which are fully sot forth and claim-
ed in a legal patent that will keep infringers
at'a distance.
Few Reasons why the.tInvncible' is Best
1st. Only one-gnarter the amount of soap
esoct as with other machines.
2nd, Only one-fourth the fuel
3rd, No labor .in comparison with th
machines.
4th. 'No wear and„ tear, as steam and soap
are the prircipal agents.
5th. It requires only one-fourth the time
to do a washing. •
6th. The house is not, in au uproar with
slops, washtubs, pots and pans, at least one
day out of each week
