She was born in Goderich,' on December 17, 18'9, daughter of Adam Cautilgn, and this.wMargaret Hanley ' She and her brother, Hanley Calt- ilon, . farmed for many years on the 9th concession' of Goderich Township on the farmnowowned ,by Edward Grigg. Fifteen years ago, they re- tired to' Clinton, where she lived with her brother until his death a year aao. •Since that time she had' been in failing health and was cared for at the . borne of her ;brother-in-law. She is survived by three brothers, and one sister, Arthur, Clinton; Adam, in Propot,.cask.; David John in Toronto, and Mrs:E. E. Floody, To- ronto, The funeral was held Tuesday af- ternoon from the home of Ther broth- er-in-law, to Clinton 'Cemetery. The service 'was conducted by Rev' C. W. D. RESIDENTS OF LISTOWEL MOVING .TO GODERICH Mr. and Mrs. Harry Boyd and family of Listowel are moving to Goderich this week, and will . make their home at 18 Trafalgar Street. Mr. Boyd, who hascome to Goderieh to take over the barber shop for- metly operated by Mr. Victor Harri- son, operated a three chair shop in Listowel for four .years previous to his corning to Goderich. He has also conducted barbering, jausinesses.; in _ Hamilton and in Flint, Mich. Mr. Boyd comes to Goderich with the good wishes of a host of former patrons in Listowel. McPhail. , M. ,CANADA SUPPLIES BULK FLO1,1R TO JAMAICA Canada ranks next after Great Britain as a source of supply for goods imported into Jamaica, British West Indies, accountng for - 16.4 per cent. of the total value, according to the Canadian .National Steamships which company maintains direct steamship connection . between Can oda and Jamaica. -Great Britain's share, the chief supply country, is 40.3 per cent. The United States ranks next to Canada with 181 per cent.; other Empire countries, 15 per cent., which accounts for 89.5 per cent. of the total. Canada supplied 62 per cent. Of the flour imports in 1935. In the matter of Jamaica pro- ducts, Great Britain buys 56.3 per cent., Canada, 28.1 per cent.,` United States, 8.9 per cent., other British Empire countries, 1.3 ,per cent. ,RELIEF WILL CEASE ON 1ST OF WAY Goderich Welfare Board will cease its operations at the beginning of Mlay, it. has been decided. To enjoy liife for a .period of nearly 94 years, to retain one's fatuities and to be able to take a keen, interest in the affairs of the 'community, is a rare`"W privilege. Mr. Duncan Campbell, Rdpley's oldest Citizen, was one to whom such reference could be made. On April 15th _this highly esteemed citizen entered into that eternal. rest from °earhly cares and trials. Mr. Campbell was born in '>`tas'sagawaya. Township, Halton County, on June 22r 1$42.. Ins parents, Donald and Betsy Campbell, were natives of Scotland, 'who came to Canada -as early pioneers.' When he was a lad of but 11 years, the family moved to Huron Township and settled on Concession 4, where he grew to manhood and assisted in. cheating 70 acres of bush land. He was married to Susan 'Seifert, who died leaving him with an infant son. He then married Mrs. lChristena Martin and from this union a s•m and a daughter were born. She a;.; i prede- ceased him. In September, 1904, he was married to Mary t+iiizabeth Marta', who survives and, who has be .n his pa- tient nurse through anany long years of suffering. For .21 years they resided in Kinlznrdine, returning to Rdp1ey -hr1 29, He was a faithful member of St. An- drew's United church, which ha regular- ly attended. . The funeral was held from St. An- drew's Ignited church. on Friday,- and was attended by many' of • his old time friends. services were conducted" by Rev. 0. N.' MacKenzie, assisted by Rev. R. A. McConnell. A solo, `.`Rock of Ages," was 'rendered by Mr.'Ben Hess of Harpster, Ohio, a grandson of Mr.. Campbell. 'The pallbearers were Messrs: R. Grant, J. K. McDonald, Rod. MoLen- nan; D. A. M•eDonald, . /W. J. Crawford, Thos. Harris. Interment was made in Ripley 'cemetery.
