A quiet but eaeeptlon*lly lovely
wedding was aolenlndzed at 12 o'clock
noon . on. Wednesday, Sept. l8th, at
the residence of 'Xi William Oraas.
'ford. ,Port Albert, when the Rev. Hl,
W. Pomeroy united in marriage Edna
Elizabeth, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Wm. Crawford, of ' bort Albert, to
Earl W. Bogle, of Shepphardton.
The bride was .a picture of loveli-
ness as she entered the ' tastefully
decorated room on the arm of,,, her
father while heap sister, Margaret,
played the wedding march.
The bride's dress was a floor -
length gown of white satin with lace
yoke and sleeves, She carried a beau-
tiful boquet of roses.
After the signing' of the register
the guests were taken to the dining
room, which was decorated with
pink and white streamers and the
table, in the 'same color scheme, was
laden with a delicious wedding din-
nerr.
In the early afternoon the happy
cou;ile left for Buffalo and other
points amid the showers of confetta
and the good wishes of their friends.

versary services on Sunday, and to
take part in an Old' Boys Re -Union
on Tuesday evening. Mr. Herbert
was the much loved pastor on this
charge some years ago.
Messrs, Edgar Trewartha and Mr.
Glidden, also Miss Viola Glidden
spent the week end at Niagara Falls
and Stoney Creek. •

ed Anniversary services at Ebenezer
last Sunday, when the junior. Quar-

land, have returned' home.
Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Lobb enjoyed
a motor trip to Niagara Falls.

The Y. P. S. met Friday evening
under the direction of Miss Edna
Huller, as Mr. M. Lobb was unable
to be' present. A good representa-
tion assembled' to enjoy an interest-
ing meeting. Miss .Esther Mc-
Math read" the scripture lesson, fol-
lowed by a business discussion un-
-der `the president. Miss Jean Web-
ster's direction. . The topic for the
evening was taken by Mr. Norman
Trewartha. - Miss C. Trewartha
then favored the meeting with a
plebe solo. Aftsr partaking in n,
few games.--she--gathering item dis-
persed with the Mizpah Benedic-
tion. This Friday's meeting will be

the meeting with a piano solo. Mrs.
Walter gave a !fine' reading on
"Life's Tapestry", Mrs. Elmer Pot -
'ter on "Thanksgiving" and Miss
E. Proctor on "Prayers". These
readings were much enjoyed. Mis-
ses Elva Proctor and Frances. Pot-
ter rendered the fine old duet, "The
Old, Rugged Cross" after singing,

with prayer by the leader. The W.

A quiet autumn wedding was sol-
emnized on .Saturday, September 14
at Central United church manse,
Hensall, when Rev. A. E. Sinclair
united in marriage Doris Gilmour
Miller, only daughter of Mr. and,
-Mrs. Pr B. Miller of Sault Ste
Marie, Ontario, and granddaughter
of Mrs. Elizabeth Dodds of Clinton,
and John .Mervyn ,Batkin, eldest son
of `Mr. John' Btitkin, Goderich town-
