has just been issued by the Horticultural

the stage of maturity ,_ at harvesting
largely influences the ultimate keeping
qualities of the McIntosh: and 1'ameuse

are kept at low /temperatures. Imrrtature
apples stored at 32 or 36 degrees P. will
develop scald upon removal from cold
storage to a temperatare of '00 degrees'or
higher. whether the apples are wrapped

a certain shade of green, are most suit-
able for storage.
