heard, motored from Sudbury and spent
the weelc-end with relatives near Bay-
-field. On their returnon Monday they
were accompanied by Mrs. Alice Heard
and son Bert, who have been in the vil-
lage and Sauble Line the past, two weeks.
Miss ,Alice Heard remained for a longer
visit.

arm while he was playing with some

Rev. R. M: Gale, who went abroadthe
end, of June for his health, arrived back
home on Monday. His many friends
will be .glad to know that he is feeling
much. better for the. trip. After spend-

A 'well-known resident of Goderich
passed away at her home on Anglesea
•;$treet on Friday night in the persorr of
Mrs. Matilda McClure, widow of the late
James McClure, who died seven years
ago, in his 94th year. ,Mrs. McClure had
been ill since August 51h, at which time
she fell in her home breaking her hip.
The daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs.
Fisher of Colberne Township, Mrs. Mc-
Clure lived with her parents on a farm
near Benmiller. She was a member of
Victhriao St. United church.
, Six children survive their mother, viz.,
John of Goderich, who is at present in
e-hospital-sufferingsfrom_a-hrokeraln
snitained a few days before his mother's
accident when he fell from a load of
hay; Robert, who resides on the family
homestead in Colborne; William, of
Dungannon; Mrs. George McClure, Wil-
kie, Sask.; Mrs. Mary Galbraith, at
home, and Mrs. Andrew Shephard of
town. Fourteen grandchildren and two
great grandchildren also survive.
