to do honor to Andrew Porter al a -sym-
bol of their regard and appreciation of
-22 years of kindly and efficient service as
colleetor of customs for the port of bode -

Many expressions of appreciation and

during the. course of the evening and a

Ernest McLeod, 15 -year-old son of Mr.
and Mrs. deo. McLeod, was seriously

Bowling Club Scotch ° Doubles tourney

day afternoon,. July ilth,
/ Some 42 rinks from- many points in
Western Ontario, including Seaforth,
London, Hensall, Wingharn; Bayfield,
Clinton and the local chat perticipated
in the eventi. The ,greens wre in ex-
cellent shape for the `den and the town
watering cart laid the, dust on the ad-
joining roadway when it threatened to
make the afternoon uneomfortable,
/n the evening a thunderstorm came
up and delayed the --finals somewhat so
that t -the finish -came at nearly 4 a.m.
after the rain had teased.
