sentatives of all municipal bodies, county
officials and members of the bar in both
Buren° and Perth Counties. County
Judge Jas Killoran from Stratford was
accompanied by Geo. MacPherson, one
of the oldest membeis of the bar in the
district. Others were J. C. Stanbury of
Exeter, H. 0.° Mier and John Best of
Seaforth, , and Frank .Fingland of
Clixi-
ton, together with all members of the
local bar. .
Charles Garrow was born and" receiv-
ed. inost of his early education Oode-•
rich: He was the son of Hon. James T.
()arrow, Justice of the Ontario Court of
Appeal, and Mary Pletcher. He after-
wards attended Woodstock College frorp
whichinstitution he proceeded • to the
University of Toronto, gradwiting in
1896 with a degree of L.L.B. He °Com-
pleted his course at 'Osgoode Hall and
was called to the bar in 1899,
Returning to Goderieh he commented
practice here, as a partner In his father's'
law firm, taking over the practice when
his father was appointed to the Bench
In 1923 he ,accepted the appointment of
Master of the Supreme Court.. a new
position which he held with distinction
1113111 1929 when he was appointed • to the
Supreme Bench as successor to the late
Hon. H. M. Mowat.
Besides being a member af Maitland
Lodge, A., F. & A. M., he was a member
of Alpha Delta Phi and of the Toronto
Golf club. .
• In 1901 he married Marion Elizabeth
Shepherd, of Goderieh, who' sularives
him. There is one eon, Jest claerow,
and three daughters, Mrs. Peter Cdnipse
011, Mrs. Austin Young and Miss Vseher
°arrowall of Toronto. There are also
two grandehildreri. A sastet, Mt. A. K.
MacDougall, lives en Montreal, and there
I, are two brothers, James of Holifaic, and
A. la: Garrow. of Toronto. One brother,
John. was killed in action in Franceand
another, Edward, died and is bdried iri

Sandy Young, a well known Colborne
Township farmer living near Loyal, is in
the .hospital here today as a result of an
• accident near Dunlop about 2.3e p. m.
on Wednesday afternoon, May 30th.
He was driving "home when his horse
took frightat one of Baechler's trucks,
loaded with logs, ran away and dumped
him into the road, His condition is re-
ported to be seriotis.' •

• Notice is ittreby iiven that. purstiant to the provisions of
TheElection- Act (Sedlion 86), a Poll will be opened on
•Saturday and Mftpday, the 16th and 18th days of June, 1934,
from eight o'cicick in fl e forenoon until five ottock in the
afternoon ano from seven o'clock in the afternoon until ten
o'clock in the afternoon.
The polling place for the 'Town of Goderic1,. will be
located at Town Hall, Goderich, for the purpose of receiving
the Votes of railway employees, sailors and travellers whose
employment is such as to necessitate their absenee from time
to time from their ordinary place of residence, or who have
reason to believe that they will he absent upon the day fixed
for the election.
The ballot box will be opened and the votes counted at
7 o'clock in the Town Hall of Goderich the 19th day of June
at the said place.
