Feeding Baby. Chicks
The average farmer or poultryman land" said the Canadian stzdt.•nt. "Oh,'

and methods of feeding. There is no
need for* them to do it. Government in-
stitutions and feed manufacturers have
done the experimenting and have made
available ' a balanced feed or a formula
whereby the poultryman may buy the
separate ingredients and mix a balanc-
ed feed at his own plant.
Brooding, chicks in large numbers,
whether in the brooder house or battery
brooders; has called for extensive experi-
menting on the' part of someone in or-
der to determine what is the most suit-
able mixture of feeds for°'the first three
or four week's. and then in what propor-
tions they should be mixed for develop-
ing the chick once it is on the range.
It was possible ,to' use bread, oatmeal,

Christ's agony is not given to the .living:
But even the faint distant glimpse which

All sorrow, all suffering, even if it be

Though it Is of Sod's sending He would
have us pray about it; but the praying
must be in the spirit of submission.

Indeed, Prince Edward Island has sent

wherever their lot may be cast, they re-
