Betty Newton, who spent a few days in Detroit, has returned home. Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Ludlow and baby Jimmie, of Detroit, were callers on Mr. and Mrs. Lockhart. On Sunday a very good congrega- tion was present at Grace church. It was sacrament Sunday. Rev. R. M. and Mrs. Gale will leave this week for a month's vacation. We wish for them a happy holiday. Rey Cox, accompanied by his sister Evelyn, spent a few days on a pleasant motor trip North. They visited Rev. Charles Cox and Mrs. l'ox at Spruce - dale and went to Callender to see the quints, then as far as North Bay. They returned by Toronto and spent a day at the Exhibition. -In the absence of Rev. R. M. Gale the service at Grace church next Sun- day will be conducted by Mr. Colin Campbell. The following Sunday a representative of the Ontario Temper- anee Federation will take the service. Mr. Norval Pocock, of Hamilton, was home a few days with his parents. On Sunday the names of six young people were presented as wishing to become members of the church. It certainly is encouraging to see the young men and women willing to take their places In the life of the church.
