JAMES 11. SAUNDERS
James H. Saunders, aged F7 years,
pied away at the Aledo hospital at 4
o'clock Wednesday morning. He fell at
the home of his daughter in Aledo, a
week before his death, 'This shock with
the infirmities -of old age ended a useful
life. He had been a resident of this
vicinity for 67, years and of .Seaton,- for
the past 39 years. His genial disposi-
tion and keen Soob:h humor endeared
him to Many friends here, who will miss
his cheery 'presence,
IVfr. Saunders, was born at Blair-
goiVrie. St otlaiiid, Dec,, -25, 1849, the sore,
of James and Cather' ne ICersi ody Saun-

Canada, to live when he was two years
of -age; He grew is manblocAd •'there and
at the age of twenty came to the United
States.
He engaged In farming in Abington
township, later moving to Ohio Grove
Township, where he married Miss Isa-
bel Ditto, daughter of Sartiuel and -
Seaton Ditto, Feb. 26, 1074. ,VErhey
purcligtsed a farm in Ohio Grove town-
sh.ip:.. and he continued farming until
1.007, when they , moved to Seaton,
where Mrs. Saunders passed away Jan.
20, 1926. Since then he had spent 'the
time at the homes of his daughters in
Seaton, Aledo, Moline and Silvis. Mr,

den wedding anniversary at- ie-fi hfr fne
here in -1925.- Ti wee a happy occasion
attended lay' relatives and friends.
