in obtaining the necessary. authority
for the .coustruCtion of the North
Harbor Road. For 14 years, various,
Councils have spent a great deal of
time and Money on this project,
with no retsults. When I was ap-
pointed Chairman of the Industrial
Committee of the Council, I devoted
a great deal of energy,to this prob-
lem and, with the 'co-operation of
Council,was finally able to ,arrive
at a satisfaetory agreement with the
Canadian National Raffiray,, as a
result Of which, it is expected that
the Town's application before the
4Board of Railway Commissioners
will be approved and that construc-
tion of the•roadway an be cOm-
menced in the spring of 1952, there-
by opening 12 acres -of valuable
industrial -property for the expan-
sion otryoUr town.
If I am elected, I will represent
you on the County Council to the
best of my, ability, and will always
strive to obtain for -the town a' fair
share of the County road levy.
