Martin, who .for several years prac-
ticed his profession in Goderich,
occurred suddenly at his home at
Grafton, Ont., on. Monday,,, at. the
ttge of fifty -three -years. --„Dr. Martin
hath been in Door health the past,
two years. Ile `was born at' 4i rva,
north of Londult; and went • as, a
child'�tu Luc»,u. He •was a veteran
of World War 1 and joined thti'Mid-
dlesex- Battalion ' to 1915. On his
discharge in 1019, he studied medi-
c:ine at tite University' of Western
,Ontario. After graduating in .1922
he,practised'itt Goderich until 1940.
Since that time he• had prat',tised at
Fent William, Espanola; Foleyet and
Hori>,epayne: ile was tt 1uenti)er
of the Masonic order, and Church
of England.
He is survived bv_ his wife, the
former Margaret , C:allwood, of Til-
bury ; one son, William, of Grafton ;
one daughter, J'li^s. (Tara .lune

on Wednesday afternoon • at the
Brophey funeral home and was
conducted by Rev,. R. G.- MacMillan
