We are sorry to report that Mr.
Franlf'• Hawkins did not snake, such
satisfactory •reeov"ery as to be able
to come home as was announced
two weeks ago. At latest ,repoft,.
-however-, he was doing well.
Silo -filling Is ,not progressing as
well as some of"the ,farmers would
like. These heavy forage cutters
cannot travel in the wet fields, and
in some places they have to resort
to the old Armstrong cutters, the
hoe and sickle method.
There is great ado' in this vicinity
with regard to the corpse found in
the S'a>raaga swamp. Apparently
the mystery surrounding: the affair,
has not yet been cleared up.

resulting in the loss of his right

home. He is resting in the Code -

were interspersed with solo num-
bers. Sgt. R. Person, Clinton, tic-
eempanied ' by Miss Eileen Gliddon,
Holinesville, delighted • the audience,
with four- violin selections. Mr.
James Corran, Holmesville, con-
tributed two sacred songs, "There
Were Ninety and Nine” and "When
I Survey the Wondrous Cross.",
Later in - the progra-he again.
thrilled the listeners ...with "Ma-
coushla" and "Irish Lullaby," Miss
Glidllon was his. accompanist. With
Miss Mary Joyce Strachan of Gode-
rich at the piano, Mr. Ralph Hen-
derson, Goderich, sang "The Lord's
Prayer" and •'" Ole Man, River," as
well as -taking solo parts in chorus
numbers. The audience showed its
appreciation of this splendid -music
al treat by rty applause and

tieth anniversary ' of its. founding.

said, in part, that if Christian mem-
