DEATIr OF JOHN S. GIBSON

John O. Gibson, •a,' highly re-
spected • farmer of the Oak Lake
district of 'Manitoba, pessed away
in the Winnipeg General Hospital
on Auguat 19th, after a lingering
illness. Mr. Gibson, who was in
his fiftyafifth year, was - bora in
Geduld). and 'went west with his
parents to Indian Head, Saskatch-
ewan, ie 1907. He served in the
First World War'end in December,
1920, married- Miss -,Anne Aspelund
of Coderreo:Sask. They .took up
farniing the (Metre (flatlet,
where they resided until 1944, when
they Moved, to a farm n'ear Oak
Lake. Surviving him, besides his
Wife; are d Sorn, Lloyd, and a daughL•
• ter,. Marjorie Ann, "of ;Oak Lake,
and a:sister, Mrs. G'alstad,. of
Great yells; Montana.
- The funeral service .was held in
'Oak Lake United Church on August
• 23rd. and was 'attended, by a large
'gathering of sorrowing relativ.es and
friends. The service was coeducted
.by :Rev. Mr. Browo, of Alexander.
