All day long, because of.theblock-
ade, traffic over , the., Blue Water
Highway had to be rerouted via
Benmiller, a detour of about twelve
'miles. Some farmersfrom the
country drove, as far as Sanford,
'then Walked from there to town to
do their shopping. Hundreds of
people gathered ht the -bridge. to
watch •the difficult job of reloading
the house On the trailer and getting
it across the bridge. • All kinds of
;Wyk* were offered as to the best
way to do the job, and there were
dozens of people .willinglY giving
assistance- in .-the ;_work. • Harold
Was a happy. andrelieved man
when the house eventually Was
brought to his lot on the Huron
road on Friday evening.
