Death of George Dewar, -- The
death occurred • opt his home on the
Blue Wt[ter- idighway . south, en
Saturday, Qctober 16th, of George
'Dewar,, a well known resident_ of
Stanley township, after'fa long ill-
ness.: Mr: Dewar, who was the sec
.ond son of the late Mr. and Mrs. J.
Dewar, was in his eighty-fifth' year
and ...wak_ born .on the homestead
where he still resided at his death.
His wife -;0 the ' former Martha Pol-
lock, died in '1822. He is survived
by one daughter, , Mrs. Wm. Talbot
-(Eva), wlio IVO with him, and
four grandchilreri: also one bro-
ther, „Diisid Dewar of Bas'fieldd;:and
one half-sister, Miss Mary Dewar
of 'Kincardine.. He was ti. Presby-
terian. in -religion and for thirty-five
years was an elder" in St. An'drew's
.church and . in :later, years Knox

dance on Tuesday afternoon, was
